What is SCRIP? SCRIP is a wonderful fund-raising program that doesn't cost you one penny more than you ordinarily spend. SCRIP is a cost-free way to donate to BCS and support the growth & development of technology when shopping or dining out instead of paying with cash. The term "SCRIP" means, "substitute for money". SCRIP is gift certificates from participating merchants, identical to those available at participating stores. Why Use SCRIP? The SCRIP Program is a FUND RAISER for the Bellflower Christian Schools. Unlike most fund raisers, SCRIP draws new money into the school. The money is earned through purchases made at participating stores and merchants and is donated to the school by the merchants themselves. Rebates are earned from each SCRIP dollar BCS families spend while doing their normal family shopping. How Does the School Use the Money SCRIP Earns? BCS Administrators determine the needs of the school that are outside the school operating budget. Currently, SCRIP earnings are funding technology and campus enhancements. Where Can We Use SCRIP? Just about anywhere you shop or eat out. Grocery stores, department stores, boutiques, restaurants, gas stations and video stores participate. Click Participating Stores for a complete listing of local participating merchants. Why Should We Use SCRIP?
